Blue Jay sighting

Well I saw another Blue Jay today but he cam and went so fast I couldn't grab my camera.

Also saw a hummingbird yesterday again no camera handy.

Rose-Breasted Grosbeak

First time one of these Red-Breasted Grosbeaks have visited our backyard!

Today we spotted our first Blue jay at the feeder in our backyard!

I is I could have gotten a photo but he was too fast and the light was fading.

I'll get him next time!

Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus)

 It was amazing today to see a Bald Eagle for the first time!

I have always wanted to see one in person and it was breath taking indeed!

I saw this beautiful bird in Greenfield, Indiana!

She was in the nest sitting on her eggs which I understand are about to hatch any day now.

Finches!

We had a lot of Finches stop by for a meal toady at the backyard feeder!

Among them top right was my awesome wife Pamela's favorite which she has named Arrow!

These are beautiful little birds!

Bluebird house

Added a little Bluebird house to the backyard! 

The swallows seem interested in it and hopefully we will see some Bluebirds soon!

Birding!

That's right everyone our latest interest is birding! Who would have thought?

Visited Wild Birds Unlimited and got all set up with some gear and got our bird feeder set up in the back yard.

What an amazing new hobby, lots of research ahead. Will keep you posted!
